Sharon Coleman, a 25-year-old African-American female from Portland, Oregon, was shot on the evening of November 2, 1975. A friend rushed the 25-year-old victim to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The bare facts of the night leave a lingering hush: a young woman grievously wounded, a desperate drive, and a life ending before anyone could make sense of what had happened.
