On a tragic summer evening in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the life of 23-year-old Michael Gene Mortensen was cut short. On July 23, 1977, Mortensen was one of six individuals killed in a mass shooting that would come to be known as the Uncle Albert's Lounge massacre. The other victims of the deadly rampage were Andrew Lane Walker, 23; Carrol Ann Seater, 23; Gary Lee Anderson, 27; James L. Trueman, 25; and Robert David Seater, 26.
