On a crisp autumn day in Central Point, Oregon, the life of 37-year-old Cynthia Michelle Phillips came to a tragic and violent end. On November 11, 2014, she was shot and killed in her home, a place that should have been her sanctuary. The perpetrator was not a stranger but her own husband, James Wayne Phillips, who was 45 years old at the time.
