A woman is held hostage and brutally murdered
The unsolved murder of Shirley Wallace remains a chilling case in Eugene, Oregon. On the night of July 20, 1975, Shirley, who worked at the Gentlemen's Retreat massage parlor, was taken hostage along with another female employee by a male suspect wielding a gun. The assailant bound both women’s hands and separated them. While the other employee managed to escape and alert people at a nearby bar, Shirley was tragically murdered.
