Lynn Ruth Connes, a 20-year-old woman, disappeared under mysterious circumstances on May 20, 1976, in Berkeley, California. She left her residence on Regent Street that morning to meet a man who had responded to her advertisement for modeling work. The man, who identified himself as "Jeff," had arranged to meet her at the Bateau Ivre Restaurant, just four blocks from her home. Lynn arrived at the restaurant around 10:15 a.m., but it was closed at the time. A waitress allowed her to wait inside for her appointment. Unfortunately, no one saw Lynn leave, and she was never seen again.

Her bicycle was found locked near the restaurant, suggesting she had reached her destination, but no further traces of her were uncovered. Despite investigations, the identity of "Jeff" has never been confirmed. At the time of her disappearance, Lynn worked part-time as a telephone solicitor in Marin County and lived independently. Known for her reliability, her disappearance was highly uncharacteristic, raising suspicions of foul play.

Lynn’s case remains unsolved despite continued efforts to find her. Authorities have not found any substantial leads or suspects in the decades since her disappearance. Investigators continue to encourage anyone with information to come forward in hopes of solving this longstanding case.
