On August 8, 2015, Kevin Dewayne Varnado, a 27-year-old resident of Gresham, Oregon, lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred in what appears to be a violent confrontation that resulted in Varnado being pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into Varnado's death led to the identification of a suspect. Malcom Xavier Jesse, who was 21 years old at the time, and Collett Renee Harris, aged 29, were both involved in the incident. While Jesse and Harris were recovering from ...
