In the pre-dawn hours of Monday, June 29, 2026, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Gresham, Oregon, neighborhood. Residents of the Rockwood Village Apartments on Southeast 185th Avenue were startled by the sudden violence, and a call was placed to 911 at approximately 3:55 a.m. When Gresham police officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene near Southeast Yamhill Street, they discovered a young man who had been fatally shot.
