On January 20, 2017, Eddie Wallace, a 46-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically killed in his Gresham, Oregon home. That day, which was meant for mourning and remembrance as his family gathered for his maternal grandmother's burial, turned into a day of compounded grief. Family members were waiting for him at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church when they received the devastating news of his death.
