In the early spring of 2020, the life of Brian Patrick Lowes, a 61-year-old Caucasian male, was brought to a tragic and unexpected end. On March 6, 2020, Lowes was discovered deceased in a room at the Embassy Suites hotel in Tigard, Oregon. The circumstances of his death were immediately deemed suspicious, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement. An autopsy later confirmed the violent nature of his death, revealing that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The state medical examiner officially ruled his death a homicide.
Brian, who was also known as "Bob," was a man who cherished the outdoors. He resided and worked in Nehalem, where he was responsible for managing a large, forested estate belonging to his uncle. His passions included fishing, hunting, and training dogs. Described as being deeply devoted to his family, he was remembered for his infectious laugh and the genuine interest he took in others. He was a detail-oriented individual, a hobbyist, and a collector with a taste for diecast model cars, rare cigars, and antique slot machines.
The investigation into his murder led detectives to a suspect, 46-year-old Danielle Ann Morin. With the assistance of the Seattle Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, Tigard Police detectives located and arrested Morin in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, on April 1, 2020. Following her arrest, Morin was held in the King County Jail in Seattle as she awaited extradition to Oregon to face charges for the murder of Brian Patrick Lowes.
