In the early morning hours of May 6, 2022, the tranquil atmosphere of the Embassy Suites hotel in Tigard, Oregon, was shattered by the sound of gunshots. Responding to reports of a disturbance involving a weapon at approximately 1:30 a.m., law enforcement officers arrived at the hotel located near Washington Square mall.
