In the early hours of June 5, 2021, the city of Portland, Oregon, recorded another life lost to gun violence. Gary O'Connor, a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male, was found deceased in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood. The discovery was made near the entrance to the Springwater Trail in the 1900 block of Southeast Ochoco Street after police responded to a report of a shooting at 1:52 a.m.
