On a spring day in Portland, Oregon, 10-year-old Luke Tredway, a Caucasian male, left a friend's house on May 23, 1984, for the short walk home. It was a journey he would never complete. When he didn't arrive, his mother, who was pregnant at the time, grew worried and contacted the police.
