In the early morning hours of August 10, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Portland, Oregon neighborhood, leaving a tragic scene in its wake. Among the victims was David Turner, a 45-year-old Black man, who was fatally shot in the Madison South neighborhood. The incident, which occurred around 5:19 a.m. near Northeast 82nd Avenue and Northeast Milton Street, also claimed the life of his cousin, Odion Turner.
