On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 8:34 p.m., the North Precinct officers of the Portland Police Bureau responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Buffalo Street. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle occupied by two gunshot victims. One of the victims, 30-year-old Stephen Dwayne McCorvey Jr., died at the scene due to the injuries sustained from the shooting.
