In the early morning hours of May 11, 1994, the life of 20-year-old Tyrone Marquette Hayes was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. Hayes, a male, was in his bedroom in the 5800 block of NE Killingsworth Street in Portland, Oregon, sharing a conversation with his girlfriend at approximately 1:20 a.m. when the sound of shots suddenly rang out from the street below.
