On February 15, 2022, the life of 34-year-old Shauna Jean Allen, a White Caucasian female from the Deadwood area of Oregon, was tragically cut short. A graduate of Mapleton High School, she had pursued a career as an oral surgery assistant after attending the dental assisting program at Lane Community College. Known for her love of the outdoors, she enjoyed hunting and camping, and cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Her sudden death left behind her two children, a son and a daughter, as well as her parents, sister, and brother.
The circumstances surrounding her death were violent and shocking to the small community. Shauna was one of three individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident that unfolded in the rural Deadwood area. The other victims were identified as 40-year-old Brian Lee Harry and 36-year-old Elijah Gabriel Geil. The Lane County Sheriff's office responded to the scene and began an investigation into the triple homicide.
In the days following the shooting, authorities made an arrest in connection with the deaths of Shauna Jean Allen and the two other victims. The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Jericho Jamison. According to the Sheriff's office, there had been a dispute involving Jamison and the three victims prior to the fatal shooting. The investigation into the motive and the specific details of the altercation continued as the community mourned the loss of three of its members. The family of Shauna Jean Allen announced a private celebration of life to be held for close family and friends to offer their condolences and remember the woman they had lost.
