Ernest Wayne Cline, a 26-year-old White man identified in obituary records as being from Oceana, West Virginia, was killed on August 6, 2014, during a confrontation at the Wyoming County home of Margaret Broyles. What began as a routine trip involving Cline, his brother Jesse Graybeal, and a woman named Charity Lester ended in gunfire. Court records later provided a detailed account of the shooting and identified James Marshall Green as the man responsible.
