On a tragic summer day, June 26, 2022, the life of a sixteen-year-old Caucasian male, Ayden Lee Henry of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, was cut short. He was born on May 12, 2006, in Gallipolis, Ohio. The young man, known to be a protector and a friend to all he met, passed away while en route to Cabell Huntington Hospital. His death was the result of an accidental gunshot wound to his pelvic area.
Ayden was a lover of the outdoors, often found hunting, fishing, or riding his four-wheeler. He was described as the sweetest, kindest soul, who took pride in standing up for those who could not defend themselves. He was not afraid of anything and enjoyed getting his hands dirty with his friends.
His passing left his family and all who knew him heartbroken.
A funeral service was held to honor Ayden's life at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Josh Searls officiating. Following the service, he was laid to rest at the Pine Street Cemetery in Gallipolis, Ohio. As his death was deemed accidental, there is no information regarding any arrests, suspects, or an ongoing investigation.
