In the late summer of 2014, the quiet life of Daniel "Danny" Jay Whipkey, a 54-year-old male, came to a tragic and violent end in Parkersburg, West Virginia. On August 23, his roommate, Robert Gagliardi, placed a call to the Wood County 911 Center, reporting that he had found Whipkey unresponsive on a bedroom floor in the home they shared at 616 Lulu Street. When authorities arrived, they found bruising on Whipkey's body, but the immediate cause of his death was not clear.
