In the small community of Raleigh, just outside of Beckley, West Virginia, a dispute between neighbors on October 4, 2021, turned deadly, claiming the life of Herbert Jeffrey Howerton Jr., a 38-year-old male. The incident, which reportedly began over a trivial matter concerning cigarettes, escalated tragically, resulting in Howerton being shot twice.
