On August 5, 2022, a fatal shooting occurred in Charleston, West Virginia, resulting in the death of James Hambrick, a 42-year-old resident. The incident took place near the intersection of Sixth Street and Hunt Avenue on Charleston's west side. Hambrick was shot and later pronounced dead at a local hospital due to his injuries.
