On January 7th, she was discovered deceased, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The initial investigation into her death quickly uncovered a sinister plot, leading authorities to suspect foul play orchestrated by someone very close to her.
Investigators soon focused on Teresa's husband, Michael Jamey Miller, and one of his colleagues,
Terry Tobias Cobbins Jr. It emerged that Michael Miller had been engaged in an extramarital affair and was reportedly concerned about the financial consequences of a potential divorce. Prosecutors alleged that this fear and his desire to be with the other woman motivated him to conspire with Cobbins to have his wife killed. Evidence suggested that Michael Miller had offered to pay Cobbins to carry out the murder.
The investigation revealed a trail of communication between Michael Miller and Terry Cobbins leading up to the day of the murder. On that day, it is believed that Michael Miller facilitated the crime by providing a rental car for Cobbins to use. Following the discovery of Teresa's body, law enforcement acted swiftly. Michael J. Miller was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Terry Tobias Cobbins Jr. was also apprehended and faced the same charge for his alleged role as the hired gunman. Both men were taken into custody to await legal proceedings for their involvement in the death of Teresa Miller.
