In the summer of 2014, a quiet neighborhood in Des Moines, Iowa, was shaken by the tragic death of Rupert Anderson, a 97-year-old White male. Known to his friends and family as "Andy," he passed away on July 2, 2014, a victim of a violent home invasion. The incident not only claimed his life but also left his wife of 76 years, Harriet, hospitalized with injuries.
