Matthew Cooper, a 29-year-old man from Cleveland, Ohio, was found fatally shot in the Tremont neighborhood on January 12, 2025. Authorities later determined that the shooting had actually occurred on West 81st Street before Cooper was discovered at a different location. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and transported Cooper to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
