Scott Allan Perez, Sr., a 44-year-old resident of Des Moines, Iowa, tragically lost his life on May 27, 2016, due to gun violence. He was the father of Scalicity Perez, who had previously been a victim of a vehicular homicide.

Perez was born on July 15, 1971, in Des Moines and spent his entire life there. He was known for his involvement in sports during his teenage years, playing football, soccer, basketball, and baseball at Roosevelt High School.
