On April 1, 2023, 25-year-old Shakuir Rhaiheem Gipson was fatally shot in Des Moines, Iowa. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue, with police responding to reports of a shooting around 2:40 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders found Gipson with a gunshot wound, and shell casings were discovered on Indiana Avenue.
