In the quiet, rural landscape of Sumner, Iowa, a grim discovery shattered the morning calm on February 22, 2017. Thirty-nine-year-old Josh Brayton, a White male, was found unresponsive at the end of the driveway to his home on T Avenue. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call just before 8:00 a.m. and, along with emergency medical personnel, responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, they confirmed that Brayton was deceased.
