In the late summer of 2020, the life of Sean Edward Newman, a 36-year-old White Caucasian male from Des Moines, Iowa, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of September 2nd, Des Moines police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of 23rd Street, in the neighborhood near Drake University. Upon arrival, officers discovered Newman's body inside an apartment; he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
