In the fading light of a Wednesday evening in Davenport, Iowa, on November 6, 2019, the life of Frederick Ewing, a 43-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of a shooting, Davenport Police officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of West 15th Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ewing suffering from a gunshot wound.
