On a summer night in Davenport, Iowa, the life of 30-year-old Delandres Thompson, a Black / African American male, was cut short by gun violence. In the early morning hours of July 5, 2020, a large crowd had gathered, and what began as a gathering devolved into a chaotic scene of fighting and gunfire.
