In the small town of Dows, Iowa, the life of Daniel Lloyd "Dan" Belt, a 39-year-old White / Caucasian male, was tragically cut short on December 14, 2020. Belt was a victim of gun violence, a shocking event in the quiet community he called home. Born on April 20, 1981, in Humboldt, Iowa, he was a familiar face in the Dows area where he grew up, having graduated from Clarion High School in 1999.
