A quiet evening on Interstate 80 on June 20, 2025, turned tragic in a sudden act of violence that left a 56-year-old Caucasian male, David Robert Morse, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident, which unfolded in rural Williamsburg near the Iowa/Johnson County line, also left his wife with serious injuries. Morse, from Holt, Michigan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
