In the quiet, rural landscape of Adel, Iowa, the life of 20-year-old Jakob Mash, a White/Caucasian male, was abruptly ended on December 22, 2020. In the early hours of that Tuesday morning, around 1:30 a.m., deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the intersection of K Avenue and 258th Street following a report of a shooting.
