In the quiet town of Algona, Iowa, a heartbreaking discovery was made on the evening of July 5, 2021. Authorities were called to a home on South Harlan Street where they found the body of six-year-old, White/Caucasian male, Logan Nolan Phelon. He was found alongside his three-year-old brother, Seth Phelon, and their father, 32-year-old Christopher Phelon.
The initial 911 call was made by an individual who had come across the devastating scene.
An investigation into the deaths was launched by the Algona Police Department, with assistance from multiple state and local agencies, including the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
