Police Officer Kevin Michael Cram, a 33-year-old member of the Algona Police Department in Iowa, lost his life on September 13, 2023. He was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a man who had an active arrest warrant for harassment.

The incident led to the arrest and subsequent trial of Kyle Ricke, who was found guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Officer Cram. The conviction was handed down in July following the September 2023 incident.
