In the pre-dawn hours of Christmas Day in 2022, Montreail Dungy, a 46-year-old Black man from Fort Dodge, Iowa, was found deceased in his vehicle. The initial discovery, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest, quickly turned into a homicide investigation.
