In the pre-dawn hours of July 8, 1945, a tragic and unexpected event unfolded at a prisoner-of-war camp in Salina, Utah, forever altering the lives of many. Among the victims of this senseless act was Ernst Fuchs, a 24-year-old Caucasian male from Kirchberg, Rhein-Hunsrück, Germany.
