In the quiet city of Sandy, Utah, the life of Kevin Meik, a 63-year-old Caucasian male, was brought to a tragic and violent end on January 30, 2014. A retired Salt Lake City police officer, Meik was discovered in his home, the victim of a fatal shooting. The initial discovery was made after his family, concerned when he became unreachable, asked a neighbor to check on him.
