On December 18, 2014, 26-year-old Candice Melo was fatally shot in Sandy, Utah. The incident followed an argument at a residence where Melo and a male friend were present.

The suspect in this case is Larry Kent Graff, a 52-year-old man from Sandy. According to police reports, Graff chased Melo and her male friend out of the house after the argument escalated.
