On December 10, 2021, 57-year-old Linda Kay Jonides was fatally shot in her Sandy, Utah, home. Her husband, 57-year-old William Matthew Jonides, called 911 around 9 p.m., reporting that he had just shot his wife and she might be dead. Upon arrival, officers found Linda deceased in the bedroom, with evidence suggesting she was attempting to protect herself when the shot was fired.
