In the early morning hours of November 21, 2020, the life of 16-year-old Roman Karpunin, a male who had moved to Utah from Russia with his family about four years prior, was tragically cut short in Kearns, a community near Salt Lake City. The incident unfolded at a residence on Alex Street, where Unified Police officers were dispatched around 1:11 a.m. following reports of a commotion.
