Fatimah O. Muhammed, a 19-year-old from Chicago, was fatally shot on June 12, 2016. The incident occurred in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, and her body was subsequently abandoned. The suspect, David White, was accused of shooting Muhammed after an altercation involving the mother of one of his children. Reportedly, White became enraged after learning that Muhammed had informed the mother that White was flirting with her. Following the murder, White coerced the other woman into assisting with the disposal of Muhammed's body.
After the homicide, White and the woman fled to West Fargo, North Dakota. However, White’s violence continued, and he was later convicted of attempted murder for shooting the same woman in a separate incident. White was eventually extradited to Chicago, where he faced first-degree murder charges for the death of Muhammed.
