On the evening of July 15, 2011, 23-year-old Keith Wallace Washington Jr., a male resident of Windsor, Connecticut, was on the front porch of a home at 67 Oakland Terrace in Hartford. At approximately 9:28 p.m., gunfire erupted, and Washington was struck in the head. Hartford police responded to reports of the shooting and found him unconscious. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on July 17, 2011.
