On September 28, 2014, 38-year-old Anthony Wortham was fatally shot at the R and D Food Mart and Sunoco gas station on Albany Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident occurred around 1:12 a.m. Earlier that night, Wortham had been involved in an altercation with Rory Taylor.
