On January 12, 2018, at approximately 3:08 a.m., 35-year-old Kenneth Cooper was fatally shot outside the Exxon gas station at 775 Whalley Avenue in New Haven, Connecticut. Cooper, a former New Haven resident who had recently moved to Waterbury, was accompanied by a woman at the time of the incident. After the shooting, the woman drove Cooper to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
