On a cold winter day in New Haven, Connecticut, the life of 50-year-old Alfreda Youmans, a Black female, was tragically cut short. On January 10, 2021, she and a companion, 42-year-old Jeffery Dotson, were found deceased inside her first-floor apartment located in a large wooden house at the corner of Winthrop Avenue and Chapel Street. The discovery was made by a visiting nurse who, after receiving no answer at the door, entered the residence to find the two victims.
