In the summer of 2021, the life of 33-year-old Kevin Mills, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in New Haven, Connecticut. On the afternoon of August 10th, gunshots rang out on Dixwell Avenue, between Cherry Ann and Elizabeth streets. When police arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m., they found Mills suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
