On August 10, 2021, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Kevin Mills, a 33-year-old father of four daughters, was fatally shot on Dixwell Avenue near the intersection with Goodrich Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Responding officers found Mills lying on the ground near 785 Dixwell Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his neck and back. He was promptly transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 4 p.m.
