On September 8, 2021, at approximately 8:18 p.m., 27-year-old Trequon Lawrence was fatally shot on Newhall Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Lawrence, a resident of New Haven, was found in his blue Genesis G80 sedan, having been struck multiple times by gunfire. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a telephone pole, causing power outages in the area. Despite being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, Lawrence was pronounced dead upon arrival.
