In the summer of 1978, in the small community of Mountain Pine, Arkansas, a family dispute escalated into a tragedy that would be the first in a series of violent acts committed by the same individual. On August 12th, 41-year-old James Kelly was at his home with his daughter and his son-in-law, Randy William Gay. An argument broke out between James and Randy, the details of which remain murky.
