On November 3, 1983, 36-year-old William Michael "Bill" Stumpp was found murdered in his pawnshop in Texarkana, Arkansas. He had been shot three times in the back of the head with a .22 caliber pistol. The assailant stole weapons, cash, and jewelry from the shop.
